Great reconditioned headlights on the Gold Coast
The hazards of poor lighting
Internal lamp reflectors and coloured tail lamp lenses are key areas where lighting fails to reach the required standards. When the internal reflective surface of a headlight unit becomes dulled or tarnished, the inflection of the light can become diffused, and the beam pattern is no longer correctly focused, which leads to poor night-time driver visibility.
Coloured and clear taillight lenses can suffer a burning effect over time, both internally from the heat generated by the bulbs, and externally due to strong sunlight. The end result is that the lenses become discoloured and lose their ability to pass sufficient light due to a reduction in the transparency of the lens. Both of these effects can give misleading and confusing lighting signals to other road users.
